Today was such a refreshing day for me. Usually Fridays are very busy at the church. However, today was like none I remember. There were so many people working together at a feverish pace it was amazing. It did not matter who was a staff member or volunteer. Everyone working together in unity for the same cause - reaching lost people for Christ.
There was such a buzz in the building that you had to feel like something really great is about to happen. The best part is we all know that when our best effort comes out and we aren't focused on ourselves that God uses that formula to result in an incredible output! Let's all be real honest here, spontaneous baptisms are something that makes Living Hope a special place for God. We all get so energized to share moments with people giving their lives to Christ and providing that first step in obedience by getting baptized. We know that "normal" baptism weekends are so emotionally inspiring when we see 30 or 40 people in one service get baptized. But, now we are talking about 10,000 or more people. Four swimming pools! Will it be 200 people or 400 people? Could it be 1000? I really have no idea, but God does. And, HE will reveal it all to us on his huge day of Easter. Jesus beat death rising from the tomb. What an awesome God we serve.
I simply cannot wait to be a part of this celebration for Jesus.
